Links to windfarm planning permission documentation

The application was rejected by Allerdale District Council, but was subsequently approved on appeal to the Secretary of State.  A copy of the Inspector's report can be viewed by clicking here.

For those for whom the detail of the proposal is of interest, scrolling to the bottom of the document which the link below leads to, below the names of consultees, will allow viewing of all documents ancillary to the application.

The planning documents are downloaded from the local council website, and will be very slow to load, even with a fast internet connection. You may see no response at all for up to one minute or more whilst the database retrieves a document. Just be patient and the document should eventually load.

The link below loads an OS map with locations of turbines etc.  Reading it with Adobe Acrobat Reader and magnifying it up will give considerable detail.

It has been found that Microsoft Internet Explorer can 'time out' because it receives such slow response from the local council systems, and you may prefer to use another internet browser such as 'Firefox' which can be freely downloaded.

It would have been preferable to download the document and place it on this website, but as it is copyright of the developer, this has not been done.
