The minutes of the meetings held on
Thursday 10th October 2109 were signed as a true record.
Mr M Buckley is School Governor and
took no part in the discussion with members of the public
members of the public were present and they wished to raise concerns about the
mess left at the site for building new properties at Bonny Hill. Resolved
to pass on the information for them to contact Allerdale BC planning department
to action this.
concerns were raised about the ongoing issue of parking at the school and this
was discussed although there was nothing that could be resolved as the solutions
are all outwith the power of the PC to action.

Constabulary – nobody present, concerns that there are incidents happening
in the Parish but that these are not being reported to the PC by the Police.
BC – for ease of reference it was resolved to note reports under the
appropriate agenda items where appropriate.

Planning Applications –

Request has gone to Allerdale BC to have an officer
come to discuss the Neighbourhood Planning, Julie Ward is no longer the
person responsible, and she has passed this on to the appropriate team.
Received a request to provide a brief update for
circulation by the editor of the local parish magazine, but it was felt that
it would be more appropriate for him to simply take what he wanted from the
What3Words App was discussed as a possible useful
tool for residents.
Pedestrian route to A594 was discussed
Work is commencing next to the Chestnuts and it was
resolved that Mr Crosby would ask the contractors to ensure that they were
not trying to bring in large vehicles through the one was system as this may
cause them difficulties.

The current funding has now come to an end, the work
completed includes pond enlargement, leaky dams, tree planting etc.
Next steps will be maintenance of structures,
maintenance of the beck and seeking further funding through Local Levy
Funding (Slow the Flow) and Tallentire Wind Farm Funding.
If successful it was resolved that the Parish Council should hold the
funds on behalf of WCRT as previously.
Total project cost to date has been £22k
– Parish Maintenance –
potholes have been reported, but a reminder was given that anyone can report
them to Cumbria Highways, and the more reports, the quicker they will get
it was noted that the Tallentire defibrillator has now had the replacement
battery and pads installed. Well Medical have now taken over the work that
was previously undertaken by Green Urban. Mr Coy is in touch with them.
Still awaiting response from BT re purchase of phone box in Tallentire.
Cllr Farebrother has been asked to call in the
planning application for review relating to condition 6
Cockburn sound recordings at M Sport were discussed. Cllr Cockburn has
agreed that she can be contacted at the first sign of any excessive noise
from the site. The issue of the noise coming from the squealing of the tyres
which it is believed is not covered by the noise order.
