You are hereby summoned to attend the meeting of the Bridekirk Parish Council to be held on Thursday 9th May at 7.15pm at Bridekirk Dovenby School for the purpose of transacting the following business.

Annual Parish Meeting

1. Welcome and Introductions.

The Retiring Chairman/Vice-Chairman to welcome those present and to present his report on the year 2018/19.

2. Bridekirk Parish Council / Declaration of Office.

  • Councillors to declare any interests in accordance with the Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012 in relation to this meeting.

3. Apologies.

To note apologies from those Parish Councillors absent from the meeting.

4. Election of Chair.

  • a. To elect the Chairman for the forthcoming year.
  • b. The Chairman to sign the Declaration of Office Form.

5. Election of Vice Chair.

  • To elect the Vice-Chair for the forthcoming year.

6. Formation of Working Groups.

  • To note any Working Groups and their respective delegated authority.

7. Maintenance Contracts.

a. To note the following contracts:-

  • Grass Cutting, Jackson Hetherington .

8. Clerk's Salary and Expenses.

  • a. To note the 2019/2020 NALC/SLCC agreed pay increase for Part-time Clerks and to agree how this might impact on the clerks salary.
  • b. To note the Clerk's Salary and level of expenses.

8. Banking arrangements.

  • To agree the 'banking arrangements' for the year and to agree any changes to the nominated signatories.

9. Annual Governance and Accountability Return for the Year ending 31 March 2019.

  • a. To receive a report from the Clerk.
  • b To confirm that the Clerk is the Responsible Finance Officer for FY2019/20.
  • c. To approve and sign off the annual accounts for submission for FY19/19

  • To receive an update on activity and correspondence received in the period since the last meeting, not covered in agenda items.

9.4.19 To receive any reports on flooding issues in the Parish and activities / update on Dovenby Beck flood prevention work

10.3.19 To receive update on any Parish Maintenance.

  • To include bridge repair at Dovenby, parish notice board etc

11.4.19 To receive any update on M Sport.

12.4.19 To discuss any progress regarding the proposed defibrillator for Dovenby
